Bitron Industries S.p.A., Turin (Italy) has become majority share holder of Ehw-Research S.A.A., Toulon (France).

Both companies will benefit from each other's strengths in the renewable energy market:

Ehw adds intelligence to photovoltaic installations. Its products optimize yields for photovoltaic installations, allowing remote monitoring and maintenance and DC safety cut-off on a per module basis, notably when intervention by the fire service is required.

Bitron's engineering and manufacturing expertise and its global presence allow for worldwide growth in this key strategic market. The growth of renewable energies requires more than intelligent production systems but rather a veritable intelligent network known as Smart Grids.

A cross-company team is already focusing its development activity on this future growth area. EHW-Research – Bitron Industries will present their solutions at Intersolar - Munich in June 2011. Founded by Giovanni Bianco in Turin, Italy, in 1955, the Bitron group is a privately financed multinational and a leader in the research, development and production of mechatronic components.
