Selected to take part in the 2014 Health and Independence Trade Shows with seven other entrants for the Innovation Awards, the Whoog company has been rewarded for its innovative mobile real time coordination platform for unexpected Human Resources situations for use in clinic and hospitals. The decision to award the trophy to Whoog was taken by a panel of healthcare professionals.
Fifty entrants were in competition in the late morning, in seven key categories of the Innovation Awards. This was the second year of the increasingly successful event which turns the spotlight on innovative products and services in the health sector, in line with the priority strategic guidelines introduced by the Minister for Health, Marisol Touraine. Among the four pillars of this public service, in addition to the introduction of a territorial public health service, are new conditions for the organisation and running of the public hospital service, a renewal of social dialogue within hospitals and, high on the list, the changes to Human Resources management within healthcare institutions under the leadership of ARS (“Regional Healthcare Agencies”) with the aim of providing the best possible healthcare in the shortest possible time while reducing healthcare costs. To meet these new challenges, Whoog, a Young Innovative Company set up in Alpes-Maritimes in 2010, has developed an innovative mobile app that can be used by HR managers in the public and private hospital sector to maximise the coordination and intervention of available staff from the platform, significantly decreasing the overall cost of interventions. The system is currently being deployed in a group of five healthcare institutions employing several hundred salaried and contract staff on the Riviera. They are all part of the Saint-Jean Healthcare cluster.
