The AquaBioMass project aims to grow several strains of microalgae and cyanobacteria for the development of a new food in aquaculture. Microalgae have long been used in shellfish farming and fish hatcheries. Their high nutritional quality and value are therefore clearly evident. One of the innovative aspects of this product will be the ability to formulate a food for the specific nutritional needs of fish. This project thus aims to make aquaculture less and less reliant on fishing and therefore have a positive impact on ocean fish stocks.
