The E-PHY-SCIENCE project, consists of developing an electrophysiology platform providing service provision in in vivo and in vitro tests. E-PHY-SCIENCE makes it possible to effectively assess development chemicals on brain activity.
The originality of our project is based on the principle of association of electrophysiological recordings on the entire animal (in vivo) together with recordings on brain slices (in vitro) on animal models (rodents: mice) to develop drugs in the therapeutic field of the central nervous system.
By combining these two advanced electrophysiological techniques on the same industrial platform of three highly specialised people, sets us apart from competitors who make use of technical procedures only based on in vitro tests.
This project targets pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and governmental laboratories, working in the field of fundamental, therapeutic research and diagnostics of diseases of the central nervous system.
The services which will be developed by E-PHY-SCIENCE will include research contracts and a technical support centre for researching new drugs that have an action on the central nervous system.
Consequently, E-PHY-SCIENCE proposes innovative technology based on high-output analysis of neuronal activity, including in-vivo experiments which represent a high added value technique to record neuronal activity, when it comes to understanding the effects of a specific chemical on the central nervous system.
